Counselling and therapy appointments are highly supportive, practical, and focussed on your needs.
People usually attend for between 1-6 sessions. Research shows that most people gain the maximum benefit from therapy/counselling in the first 1-6 appointments. Some people may attend more sessions depending on their needs.
People are welcome to come and go from Brief Intervention. Some people come for a few sessions on one issue and may return at a later date to check-in, or to address some other area of life where they are stuck.
Initial appointments last for 50 minutes and follow up appointments can be either 50 minutes, or 30 minutes for a check-in.
Appointments are usually in person in my office in Palmerston North. However these can be adapted to suit your needs, including video/zoom consultations and/or phone consultations.
My office is at 235 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North.
You don't need a a referral to see me, just phone/text/email to ask any questions or to make an appointment.
Cost
- Individual 50 minute appointments $150 (incl GST), please let me know if you need to discuss the price
- Individual 30 minute check-in appointments $90 (incl GST)
- Couples/relationships 60 minute appointments $160 (incl GST)
- Complex situations 60 minute appointments $160 (incl GST)
- Brief email/phone support available if needed between appointments at no cost
- Funding may also be available through Vitae, Think Hauora, or Victim Support
Cancellation
If you need to change or cancel your appointment please give at least 24 hours notice so that the appointment can be rebooked, otherwise there will be charges.
Privacy
Therapy and supervision notes - basic notes will be kept on a password protected encrypted database, and are available for you to see at any time. These notes inform my practice and support my work with you.
Supervision clients - in our contract we may agree that some information can be shared with your organisation.
Therapy clients - all information about you is held in confidence. Any exceptions to this will be discussed when we meet.
